He lived in Stratford up until the age of 4 and moved to Forest Gate. Apart from a brief spell in north east London Clarity has always been an East Londoner.

Clarity grew up in a multi cultural surrounding which has given him a lot of valuable experiences and encounters that contribute towards his writing.

He‘s many musical experiences and they range from rock music to rap. Some of his influences include Tupac Shakur, NWA, Eminem, and even one hit wonders like Coolio’s gangsters paradise.

Clarity’s farther is a song writer so he probably inherited his lyric writing ability from him. He was always into his literature at school and excelled in writing poems in particular. As rap and poetry are closely linked, transferring to writing rap came naturally to him.g

Clarity first wrote a rap at the age of 13 to a girl as a kind of love letter, she loved it and it worked a treat in his favour.

He next wrote a rap when he was 18, it was about him and his life. He then went to university to study English, but after much contemplation, he decided to leave to pursue a music career which is much closer to his heart. Plus he knows that is something he wants to do 100%.

Clarity likes to rap about anything from politics to what life is like as an inner city urban youngster. He tries to make his intelligence and personality come through in his lyrics so people get a real feel of who he is, his opinions and where he is coming from.

Clarity was then signed to Nine Music in 2004 first appeared on the 9Online song ‘Money Irrelevance’. After that he released his debut single ‘Individuality’ which was praised for it lyrical content. Clarity set out on a mini tour to promote the single, he also did some shows on the Nine Anthems Tour.

Then clarity appeared on more 9Online songs by this time he was a Nine Music Headliner. He started teaching school students to rap in Langdon School as part of a youth program. In 2005 he appeared on Nine Taurus’s sophomore album ‘Futile Tears’.
