The single was released to large critical acclaim and was quickly labelled as Nine Taurus's valentines song, and one of his most popular songs ever. Audiences commented positivley on the nostalgic 80s feel from the songs instrumental. His lyrics on the track were particularly praised for its humour and revelations, and also how he interacted with Lazeezee (the woman's voice on the track), who's input on the track was also praised.
