Nine Universe is a character and brand based entertainment organization. It has a library of propriety characters which is exploited through video games, cartoons, animated movies, comic books, comic strips, and many other avenues. Some of the iconic characters include Flip, Lightno, Mushroom Ninja, Ganigi, Dre Man (War Toons), and Icko (Destiny 5th).

History

Dean "Nine" Simon created many characters in the late 1980s. However, in 1990, he created Mushroom Ninja which quikly became his most popular character. He continued to create comic strips to promote the character, which developed through the early 90s.

In 1995, Detanio was created to promote Dean "Nine" Simon's roster of characters, that included Mushroom Ninja, Cannonball, Army Trouble, Lightno, and Flip, the newest character at the time. Flip quickly became the most popular character crossing the social circles of the then targeted teenage audiences, with nerds and street audiences embracing he character.

In 1996, Detanio was merged into the newly created Nine Corporation. WFW was created and a movie was launched featuring the characters in late 1996, and the Mushroom Ninja Curse Of The Killer Weed comic book was also released that year. Comic strips of Lightno, Flip, Mushroom Ninja increased in production in 1997, however, the Flip products, including posters, were the most popular, although some were quite controvertial.

In 1998 the second WFW movie was released WFW Action: New Generation which became a popular. The Hate Brothers board game was released in 1998 begining a series of a new type of board game formats for Nine Corporation.

In 1999 was a big year for Nine Universe with the release of Flip The Beginning. This was followed by a series of comic books featuring Nine Universe characters including Crazy Toons, The Munches, The Hate Brothers Story. Flip Speed and Cannonball Adventure was released and many Nine Universe characters appeared in the Nine's World Magazines. Towards the end of 1999, Flip The Battle That Changed The Skies was released and was praised instantly. Just before the end of the year, Flip Teaser was released

In 2003 Flip Descent was released on 9Online and was the first video game released by the Nine Corporation. Many Nine Universe characters appeared in video games since then as their popularity increased. Supeara SC, Destiny 5th, and Allure Spawn Of Hell brands were created between 2003 and 2007.

A new Flip Taunt series was released in 2013 exclusively on The World blog.
