Ninth Wonder East Ham College Hecklers Controversy

The Ninth Wonder East Ham Collage Hecklers Controversy was a situation that occurred in East Ham College, London, England in December 2000. The situation arose when some students at the college took offence to lyrics on ‘Rap 4 Me’ and ‘Nines Island’ on Nine Taurus’s debut album ‘The Ninth Wonder of the World’

The heckling students were playing a copy of the album and mocking the songs and the interludes. Rap artists Eloquence was the only person among them who objected to the mocking and supported Nine Taurus's (who wasn’t present) lyrics. Eloquence Later added “They just couldn’t understand. Instead of opening there eyes they preferred to keep them shut, behaving like mindless savages”

Nine Taurus responded to the hecklers on the track ‘Judgement Day For Haters’ on the ‘Titans Album’. Certain people in the Nine Corp World over reacted and widened the returned abuse to all the students in East Ham college. They labelled them KK’s, Lads, and Gay. Most of the abuse towards East Ham college came from areas outside of East London.

When Nine Taurus saw the hostility becoming area related he stated “I used to hate East London when I was younger. I couldn’t relate to their music, fashion, and mind state. My lyrics, my artists, and my friends would diss the whole area. But I realised we should not be fight each other, we should be fighting our oppressors. I don’t want this incident to make me return to that old opinion, and I definitely don’t want a rivalry to occur between areas because of it. So I won’t support anymore abuse toward East Ham.”
