Symbolic

Symbolic was a rapper who was signed to Nine Music from 2001 to 2004. Symbolic was the heading artist on Nine Music in 2003. In 2004 he created a record label called Rebellious Records. Later that year he and his label left Nine Music.

History

Symbolic was signed to Nine Music in 2001. He first featured on the Food Wars Soundtrack. He was the first of the Second Generation artists to release a solo album when he released his debut Eternal Headache. Later that year he featured several times on the Titans album.

Symbolic featured on the Hermit Soundtrack and made several features while preparing to release his sophomore album.

The Truth of Light was released in 2003 to critical acclaim. He performed at many venues while promoting the album and he did a string of features. He also produced a few songs for 9Online and a remix for Gambino’s single ‘Bout My Money’.

In 2004 symbolic created Rebellious Records. He and his new artist I.Q were on the roster. The label first and only release was the Rebellious Records Mix Cd which featured Nine Music artists and artists from the surrounding music scene (see The Circle). After this release Symbolic and Rebellious Records separated from Nine Music.
